Crock-Pot Pressure Cooker Investigation

by | Nov 30, 2020 | Firm News

On November 24, 2020, Crock-Pot recalled more than 900,000 pressure cookers due to the risk of severe burns while using the product. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the affected Crockpots may become pressurized without the lids securely locking. This can cause the lid to detach during use, which may lead to hot food and liquid ejecting onto the user and causing severe injury.

Which Crock-Pots are affected?

The recall is for Crock-Pot 6-Quart Express Crock Multi-Cookers manufactured between July 1, 2017 and October 6, 2018. The Model Number for the affected units, which is found on a label attached to the bottom of the product, is SCCPPC600-V1.
